
St. Anthony of Padua in Art

This much-loved saint can be seen in paintings from the
years soon after his death until modern times. Two of the
most famous are Hieronymous Bosch's triptych painting, "The
Temptation of St. Anthony," and Salvatore Dali's "The
Temptation of St. Anthony." Music has also paid tribute
to the Saint. The most well known composition is perhaps
Gustav Mahler's movement from his second symphony, "St.
Anthony's Sermon to the Fishes.
